Biography

Having studied the BA Hons Theatre and Screen: Costume Interpretation course at the Wimbledon College of Arts, Sophie Brewer is a recent University of the Arts graduate.​

​

​

Specialising in period, theatrical and contemporary womenswear, Sophie holds a keen interest and passion for historical dress, whether it be for film, theatre or television. As well as historical costume, her other interests include couture sewing and eveningwear, corsetry, womenswear, dressmaking, cutting on the stand, millinery, breakdown and embroidery.

Outside of university, Sophie has been involved in various areas of the industry in the form of work placements, from large budget films, to short movie productions, youth theatre, bespoke dressmaking and television programmes. As a costume enthusiast, her dedication and drive are elements that accompany her ambition and passion to be part of the costume industry.
